Form 1

This is Class 1B. All except Choon Foi were from Chinese medium primary school.

At Segar's House

These 2 pictures were taken outside Segar's house, probably during Deepavali. I will be pleased to add some comments if somebody mail me the details, otherwise add a few more years, names can be forgotten.

In the Classroom

These pictures show activities in the science laboratory and students in the classroom for year 1970.
Busy performing titration during science practical lesson.
Pak Chong got an 'eureka'. Everybody seem so serious and absorbed in their work.
This is another view; identify yourself and let the good old times roll across your head.
Seating arrangement in the class with Boon Seng and Tian Sheng at the forefront.
It was nearly all guys classroom... the 4 girls were at the far end left corner... literally being cornered.

Games and Concert

Our sportsmen of Ledang, starting with...
football!
Our footballers were unfortunately not talent hunted, otherwise at least some will make it to the world cup. That is the problem living in a small town.

Hope they were not resting more than they practise. Even the grass was not properly trimmed, how can they make it to the world cup!

The champion house, Raleigh with their championship trophy. Understand that when this group graduated from Ledang, the House ended up in the rut for years.

The cagers of Ledang...representing the school for basketball.

That's Tan Ah Ee in action... so many on-lookers.

The VIPs gone, the not so VIP took over the seats.

Scouting Activities

These pictures will rekindle your memories during the scouting days.
1967 Scouting Camp: From left Phua Cheng Hong, Low Choon Foi, Chew Tian Sheng, Wan Lee Seng, Ong Siew Chuan, Tey Cheng Kang, ...Boon Koon, Ong Shu.

Picture of the winning team for projects in JB.
Our 'Agung' scouts.
Night function at the Scouts and Guides training camp. 1970
Junior Scouts training camp 1970
Dancing the night away at the Scouts and Guides training camp 1970
The leaders will lead the way!

The female side of Choo Ngian Hee, you don't have to go to Bangkok to look for she-boys.
Trying to match the shortest Scout and the tallest Guide; certainly needed alot of coaching.
'Autography' session... wonder who was the star.
Sure there were better things to do than to quarrel on the fun-fill night...'cos there won't be another like this...ever...

Post Ledang Year

This was the 1st attempt to organise a gathering of the graduating class of 1970. I am not too sure of the year it happened (1971 or 1972), but it was held at the Hainanese Association. We have got some 20+ people attending the occassion.
Here we have got our prom queen being chatted by Sum Teck; probably telling her his manhood. Well, she is now somebody's wife residing maybe at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur with hubby and 3 grown-up children.
I am pleased to appear in this picture with Heng Hong, otherwise all memories of it would have gone away.
This picture and the next 3 were taken in Singapore. You can recognise some of the faces: from left Chee Nong, unknown, Hien Nigh, another unknown, Choon Foi and Siew Chuan.
Like novices going to the city, must visit the Botanical Garden.
Strolling and chatting and feeling like they were at the centre of the universe. You can own the footsteps that you make but you cannot own the road that step on.
and a nice break to rest the butts, icy cold chendol to quench the throats and this is not Tangkak, but at Bras Basah Road in Singapore....which is now gone forever only to remain in the memories of those senior citizens in their 50's, 60's and 70's.
